From School Uniform to Studio Lights: Who She Is
Most actors in their early twenties are still looking for a first break. Prapti already has a long list of credits behind her.
She grew up in Mumbai and started acting while still in school. Her first parts were in mythological serials, where she played characters from Hindu epics. Then came a family sitcom that made her a familiar face in living rooms. She is also a trained classical dancer, and you can see it in how she uses her eyes and hands on screen.
Since 2023 she has been choosing parts that don’t look alike. In one show she plays a robot. In another she plays a young woman who wants to become an IAS officer.
Born in March, Not May: Her Age and Birthday
She was born on 25 March 2005. That makes her 21 years old as of October 2026. Her zodiac sign is Aries.
A few websites show her birthday as 25 May. That looks like a typing error that spread from one page to the next. IMDb and most other profiles say March, so go with March.

At Home With the Shuklas: Parents, Brother and Sister
Prapti comes from a Hindu family in Mumbai. Nobody in it is from the film world.
- Father: Milan Shukla. Very little else about him is public.
- Mother: Neeti Shukla, a practising advocate. She is the person closest to Prapti’s career. Prapti has said her mother travelled with her to the Himachal Pradesh shoot of The Diplomat, taking time off her own work.
- Brother: Divyam Shukla, who is also an actor.
- Sister: Her sister name is Diya Shukla.
The family doesn’t give many interviews, so don’t expect more detail than this.
Books, Boards and Cameras: Her Education
Studying and shooting happened side by side for Prapti. Her own account, from a Times of India interview, goes like this:
- Class 10: above 90 per cent.
- Class 12: around 67 per cent. She cried when she saw it, and her mother thought she had failed.
- How she managed: the production team kept her scenes away from exam dates, and she studied between shots.
Right now she is pursuing graduation. One site calls it a BA, but that’s a single source. She has also said she is torn between law and data science. Her mother is a lawyer, which explains why law is on the list.

Chapter 1: The Mythology Years
She played Subhadra and Usha as a teenager. It meant heavy costumes, formal Hindi and long shoot days, which was good training for what came next.
Chapter 2: Gungun Makes Her Famous (2021–2023)
Wagle Ki Duniya – Nayi Peedhi Naye Kissey on Sony SAB is a comedy about a middle-class family. She shared scenes with Sumeet Raghavan, Pariva Pranati, Anjan Srivastav and Bharti Achrekar, and Gungun ran for hundreds of episodes.
She left in September 2023. Her reason was straightforward: she felt her character wasn’t growing, and she had other offers she couldn’t take because of her commitment.
Chapter 3: A Robot, a Bride and a New Show (2024)
Janani – AI Ki Kahani premiered on Dangal TV on 15 April 2024. She played Tara Sharma, a robot daughter made by a scientist mother. Later that year she joined Colors TV’s Mera Balam Thanedaar as Rashi, in a cast led by Shagun Pandey and Shruti Choudhary.
Chapter 4: Her First Big Lead (2025 and now)
Pati Brahmachari started on Dangal TV on 19 May 2025. Prapti plays Isha, a young woman who dreams of becoming an IAS officer. Her husband in the story, Suraj (Ashish Dixit), has taken a vow of celibacy, so the romance is told through looks and silence, not touch. The show has crossed 100 episodes and is still on Dangal’s current list as of October 2026.
Prapti Shukla Movies: Only Two So Far

The Diplomat stars John Abraham and Sadia Khateeb and is based on the true story of Uzma Ahmed. When it was announced, Prapti described her role as the youngest Indian girl who is forced into marriage in Pakistan and then harassed. The film was first planned for January 2024, got delayed, and hit theatres on 14 March 2025. It has streamed on Netflix since 9 May 2025.
No new film has been announced for her yet.

- She is unmarried, so there is no Prapti Shukla husband.
- She has never spoken about a boyfriend, and nothing has been confirmed by her, her family or her co-stars.
- Her relationship status is not publicly known. Most pages simply call her single.
The “husband” fans see on screen is Ashish Dixit, but that’s only his Pati Brahmachari role.
Height, Style and Everyday Habits
Height: sources disagree by one inch. One major profile says 5’3″, others say 5’4″, so about 160–163 cm is the safe answer. Her weight is listed around 52 kg. She has black hair and dark eyes.
Habits and favourites:
- Vegetarian
- Likes dancing, photography and playing the guitar
- Loves holidays in the mountains
- Favourite colour: black

Fact or Rumour? Clearing the Air
No credible outlet has reported any scandal, legal trouble, accusation or health issue about her. What floats around online is mostly errors:
- “She left Wagle Ki Duniya after a fight.” No. She left in 2023 and gave her own reason. A few sites say 2024, which is wrong.
- “She has a boyfriend.” Many biography pages put the word in the title, but none shows proof.
- “Born on 25 May.” A typo. It’s 25 March.
- “She won an award for Janani.” One site says so, with no reliable backing.
- “She is related to Shilpa or Supriya Shukla.” Same surname, nothing else. No credible report links them.
